164 – You Can’t Cheat Destiny

Poem number 164
.
You Can’t Cheat Destiny
.
A pig in a wig did a wonderful jig
In the sunshine in rural Dundalk
But the pig in a wig with the wonderful jig
Still got slaughtered and turned into pork
For a pig’s still a pig even if it can jig
In a wig in the soft Irish sun
A pig in a wig with a wonderful jig’s
Simply bacon awaiting a bun.
