256 – Save Yourself

Poem number 256
.
Save Yourself
.
Don’t swap your cash for risky shares
Or spend it all on stocks –
Just hide your cash away upstairs
In bundles, like your socks.
Put the tenners in a drawer,
The fivers in a shoe,
The twenties underneath the floor
Where all the spiders poo.
Who cares about the Revenue
Who wants to pay their tax
The goverment wont have a clue
What’s done behind their backs
So ditch those big investment plans
And hide your cash instead
In painted jars and old tin cans
And safe beneath your bed.
