341 – Be Still My Beating Heart

Poem number 341
.
Be Still My Beating Heart
.
Be still my heart, hold back, refrain
From beating lest I breathe again
And with that breathing draw in air
To think, to see that she’s not there
Be still my heart, hold back, resist
The urge to beat, I must insist –
I have no wish to carry on
For life is futile now she’s gone.
