362 – I Never Promised They’d Be Good Poems!

Poem number 362
.
I Never Promised They’d Be Good Poems!
.

Behold! The Cup Of Destiny!
It holds about a litre!
If a normal mug’s a hatchback
Then this Cup is an eight seater!
A Cup this size could save the world,
Give life to fifty men
Who were stranded in the desert
With no way to leave again.
‘Here you go!’ A man would cry
And hold the Cup above
‘This is the Cup Of Destiny!
This is the Cup I love!’
And as he held it high the Cup
Would glow with eerie light
And then boom! Be full of water
That would last them through the night.
Oh magic Cup, oh Cup of joy
You are, in fact, my King
The saviour of the universe
The Cup Of Everything!
